No Soliciting is a collection of songs depicting the life (and death) of a salesman. Largely a concept album, Blackboltt tells the story of the most mentally and physically taxing job he has ever had: door to door sales. The album was written in two weeks - the last two weeks that he was in the business.

"You gotta sell yourself," they say. "People aren't buying the product, they're buying you," they insist. But the very reason why No Soliciting stands the test of time is because the album refuses to sell any one individual thing. Instead, Blackboltt opts to paint three sides to his story. the truth, the fact, and the feelings. Whether wrestling with his guilty conscience or craftily writing the best grade 8 sex story ever told, the hip hop smooth operator* explores the theme that we never really stop selling. Success is truly a law of averages.
